Looks good from here!
@Fergus: this page with my piece graphics is now ready for publication.
I mention it to you because it is not a Game although I used the same template. You ask to be informed when this happens.
Concerning my graphics and taking into account your comments about them, I think that both my old graphics and these fresher ones could be kept in two different places.
I would suggest that a second line is opened in this page in the small table "Graphics by Jean Louis Cazaux": https://www.chessvariants.com/graphics.dir/index.html as it is done for other creators. You could link my new page to this second line.
Thank you
Checker man still appears twice. (Was three times.)
Oops. Thanks
Since I can see the green backgrounds, that means you have not made this color transparent in your PNG files. While Game Courier can follow the Zillions-of-Games convention of making a green background transparent, your images may have other uses where you want them to already have transparent backgrounds. So, please make sure that your backgrounds are transparent.
Fergus, I don't know how to do that. There are 395 images. This is why I asked yesterday before finishing all.

When I answered your question, I did tell you to make green the transparent color. However, I can probably do the conversions with some scripts.
Yes you told me. But I don't know how to do that in a batch. I'm currently trying with Gimp. It seems to be able to do that, but I'm not sure it works. I'm getting files, but I can't see whether the background is transparent or not now. I'm going to upload the new icons now.
Also, if you want your images to work with Interactive Diagrams, they will all have to be renamed. When creating an image name, it normally prepends the letter indicating the side to the beginning of the piece name. This will not work for images with -b or -w at the end of the name just before the extension. Also, my showpiece.php script is using this convention to identify which side a piece belongs to for the purpose of recoloring it. I can probably do the renaming when I do the conversions.
I have never liked Gimp and don't know how to use it well. I normally use Ultimate Paint, which remains better than Gimp despite not being updated since 2005.
On Windows I use Paint Shop Pro 5.0, which is from the 1990s! It has a nice batch processor to convert bmp/gif/png but not to change that background in batch mode, only 1 by 1.
On Mac, I use Paintbrush, or Inkscape for svg. Gimp is quite complex for someone like me. I've found they have a batch processor, that's why I tried. I have uploaded a new set of .png but I doubt they have the transparent background now. I don't see the difference, except the files are lighter now.
I don't plan to use my graphics for the IDs. For that I prefer Alfaerie SVG. My motivation was only to provide people with the graphics I use with ZoG, better than the very old ones I had once given to Hans B and which are present on this CVP site (it was in 2000!). It is a modest goal. My graphics are not as good as Alfaerie.
I have done the conversions. I'll see about using a macro to update your page to the new filenames.
And I have now updated the page to use the new images. These follow the convention of having the letter identifying the side at the beginning of the filename without a hyphen. I have not touched your .zip files. You can see your old images in the file manager, which will let you delete them if you check them.
Thank you for this help. Looks perfect.
Could you please just make a zip with the new renamed icons you have made, so I will download it at once, and also I will replace my "old" zip with png on this page?
I guess my latest message got burried by other discussions on the Comments page.
@Fergus: could you please make a zip file with all pieces that you renamed? I will link it to that page so readers will be able to download it.
Also, could you now "publish" my page so it can be accessed by any one?
And finally, I would like that this page is accessible from https://www.chessvariants.com/graphics.dir/index.html
Thank you
Okay, it's published, and I made the zip file JLCChessPNG.zip. To get them out of the way, I moved your other graphics to a subdirectory called old/.
Thank you very much

Hi. As suggested by Fergus, I have started a page to present and provide my piece graphics. I have started populating it. It's a clerical work. I hope I'm doing it right, otherwise please stop me before I end up.
