Setup
Same as Chess.
Pieces
All pieces move like in FIDE chess, except that when the game starts each player secretly chooses one of his own pawns to be a poisoned pawn. The pawns that start on files D and E cannot be poisoned. Once a poisoned pawn promotes, that piece is no longer poisoned.
Rules
FIDE Chess rules apply, but with the following winning conditions added:
- If a player captures a poisoned pawn, that player loses.
- If a player captures a poisoned pawn with a poisoned pawn, that player wins.
- If a player captures a non-poisoned piece with a poison pawn, that player loses.
