Pardon my ignorance, but what does it mean to "win a stake" in this game? Thanks.

Thank you H.G. Muller for the interactive set up. It is hard to find anything interactive online regarding Tamerlane Chess.

Tamerlane Chess Manuscript[Subject Thread] [Add Response]
Greg Myers wrote on Wed, Sep 21, 2016 11:06 AM EDT:

I have seen some conflicting details regarding Tamerlane Chess rules from various authors, regarding the number of times a king can exchange with another piece while under check, for instance, and a few other things. Does anyone have a link to a full English translation of the original persian manuscript describing the rules? I have read parts of it but have not seen a full text translation.

Thanks. :)
